Volunteer needed
Assalamu alaikum ww,

The MSC is currently looking to recruit a volunteer to help run and plan the Muslim Saturday Club. We are looking for a Muslimah who is enthusiastic to teach authentic Islamic knowledge with a modern approach to the young people of the Ummah. Without sounding ageist we are looking for someone who is aged between 22-28 years and who is able to commit to a 2 hour session once / twice a month.

If you are interested in the post please feel free to email us in hope of arranging an informal interview.

We believe this is a great opportunity to serve the Deen and the local community as well as gaining experience in working with the Muslim youth of today.

Wasalaam,
MSC.

Sponsored Walk for Gaza
The staff and the older members of the MSC will be carrying out a 3 mile sponsored walk in Oxford on Sat. 31st Jan. '09. Insha'Allah, we hope to collectively raise a further £1,000.00 through sponsorships and, as well as this, the girls will be grouped on the day of the walk and will be competing against each other in hope of selling their Green Ribbons to those they meet along the route.

We urge you to sponsor us as a group. EVERY penny of your donation will Insha'Allah reach the people of Gaza. No doubt many of you have already donated towards the Palestinians’ plight yet your direct support to the girls of the MSC will act as a means of encouragement to the younger members of the Ummah who are eager to 'do their bit.'
